Provisions have been made to cater for wheelchair users. Lifts have been installed and it is possible to enter the arena by the access link between Trinity Way and Victoria Station. The Hunts Bank entrance is accessible via external lift and access from the car park and Victoria Station is possible via the City Room. The second raised tier of seating (BLK 201 and above) requires the negotiation of steep steps and so may not be suitable for the elderly, infirm or those with mobility problems. Building a measurement framework: An introduction for funders

WHAT IS IT ABOUT? Through their grant-making, funders make a difference to people’s lives in countless ways. But just knowing you might be making some kind of difference isn’t enough: you need to know exactly what difference your grants are making, and you need to have robust data to inform your grantmaking decisions. Led by our expert measurement team, this workshop will take you through what to measure, which methodology to use, and how to judge the quality of grantees’ impact measurement. With a group size of no more than 15, the workshop will be interactive and hands-on. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The training will help you to: Understand the terminology, concepts and definitions Identify intended and unintended social impacts Develop and use a theory of change Prioritise outcomes for measurement Choose the right level of evidence Decide when to collect data and from whom, and how to sample Support grantees with impact measurement WHO SHOULD ATTEND? The training is an introductory session and assumes no prior knowledge. It is aimed at funders who are either new to impact measurement or looking to improve their approach. WHO DELIVERS THE TRAINING? The training is delivered by our consultants who are experts in working with funders and charities of all shapes and sizes to develop robust and systematic methods for measuring the difference they make. Healing Through Awareness, Empowerment and Advocacy Join us as we explore counseling topics designed to educate, inspire and engage.  All helping professionals are invited to participate in this interdisciplinary conference including mental health counselors, school counselors, addictions counselors, career counselors, social workers, exceptional education professionals, as well as marriage, family therapists and other specializations. Undergraduate and graduate students are also invited to attend. Conference strands include: Innovative Therapies & Approaches Integrated Care Play & Expressive Arts School Counseling & Career Counseling Social Justice & Multicultural Competencies Trauma & Crisis Interventions Attendees are encouraged to apply their participation hours towards professional certification. Dr. Anneliese A. Singh, Keynote Anneliese Singh, PhD, LPC is an award-winning social justice scholar and community organizer. She is a Professor and Associate Dean of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the College of Education at the University of Georgia, and a program faculty in the counselor education and supervision doctoral program. Her research, practice, and advocacy explores the resilience and liberation experiences of trans people, people of color, survivors of trauma, South Asian immigrants, and social justice and empowerment training, and she has over 100 publications among these areas. Anneliese has co-authored texts on trans and nonbinary counseling (A Clinician’s Guide to Gender-Affirming Care and Affirmative Counseling and Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Clients), in addition to the Queer and Transgender Resilience Workbook and the Racial Healing Handbook: Practical Activities to Help You Challenge Privilege, Confront Systemic Racism, and Engage in Collective Healing.  In 2009, Anneliese co-founded the Georgia Safe Schools Coalition to work on the intersection of heterosexism, racism, sexism, and other oppressions in Georgia schools. She also founded the Trans Resilience Project to translate findings from her nearly 20 years of research on the resilience that trans and nonbinary people develop across the lifespan and across multiple identities to navigate societal oppression. Anneliese is currently working on a NIH-funded longitudinal multi-site (Atlanta, New York, San Francisco) grant investigating trans identity development, risk, and resilience, as well as a collaborative PCORI grant developing a southeastern trans research and education network.  Anneliese has worked on several national competencies and guidelines projects for the American Counseling Association (ACA Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies, ACA Transgender Competencies, ACA LGBQQIAA Competencies). She is a Fellow of both ACA, and serves on multiple editorial boards. Her TEDx Talk, titled “Transgender Liberation is for Everybody,” explored gender liberation for cisgender and transgender people. NEU: DIY Workshop Weben  Alles erfährt irgendwann seine DIY-Renaissance - so auch das klassische Weben, das dieses Jahr in Form von moderrnen "Wall Hangings" (= Wand-Teppiche) überall in den sozialen Medien zu sehen ist. Zurecht, denn Weben geht schnell, einfach und macht verdammt viel Spaß, wenn man mal seinen eigenen Rhythmus gefunden hat! Darum biete ich diesen After-Work Weben Workshop an, bei dem du deine Hände Bahn für Bahn entspannen und am Ende ein kleines Kunstwerk mit nach Hause nehmen kannst! Der DIY Weben Workshop folgt keinem klassischen Workshop-Schema sondern es stehen dabei das gemeinsame Machen, der Austausch untereinander und die Inspiration von Anderen im Vordergrund. Zu Beginn werden die technischen Grundlagen sowie Tipps & Tricks zum Weben von kleinen Web-Teppichen vermittelt. Du lernst von mir Techniken wie Twists, Zöpfe und Fransen, wie du Muster und Farben am besten kombinierst und worauf du dabei achten solltest. Danach heißt es: ran an die Wollen und Webrahmen!  Der Kurs ist sowohl für Anfänger als auch für Fortgeschrittene geeignet. Delicious, homemade cream puffs —a specialty of the Oblate Sisters — are available for pre-order only until February 5th (all orders must be prepaid).
