Join the Dornsife School of Public Health for a virtual Population Health Spotlight Series on “Racism and Health: Evidence and Action.” Talk title: “Comprehensive Validation of the Research Engagement Survey Tool (REST).” About the Speaker: Melody S. Goodman, PhD, MS, is the associate dean for research and associate professor of biostatistics in the School of Global Public Health at New York University.
The National Institutes of Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Verizon Foundation, Long Island Community Foundation, Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure have funded Goodman’s work. She has over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and two books (2018 Routledge/Taylor & Francis Group); 1) Public Health Research Methods for Partnerships and Practice and 2) Biostatistics for Clinical and Public Health Research.
Goodman is a biostatistician and research methodologist with a large statistical toolbox. Her research interest is on identifying origins of health disparities and developing, as necessary, evidence-based primary prevention strategies to reduce these health disparities.
About the Series: The Population Health Spotlight Series, traditionally held on Drexel’s campus, is an opportunity to hear about innovative public health research and practice that is happening locally, nationally, and globally with a focus on improving population health and eliminating health disparities.

Meet the gamers in your local area! On the first Wednesday evening of every month, the Library magically transforms into a nerd cave.
If you are 16 years old or over and love playing tabletop games and/or RPG, join us as we take over the library. Total noobs and seasoned players are all welcome! Come along and play contemporary tabletop games in great company – it’s a Night at the Library plus games! Always wanted to try out RPGs but never had the chance? This is your perfect opportunity to check out various interesting systems out there in one-off casual sessions.
This event is free and for those 16 years old or over. Photo ID will be required for entry. Choose between RPG and tabletop games when booking.
Snacks will be provided. BYO reusable cup to help reduce waste and protect the environment.
