Mi a legjobb dolog a CodeCombat Dojokban? Peti kollégánk, a foglalkozások egyik mentora szerint: “A legjobb látni a gyerekek arcán az örömöt, ami a játék és tanulás együttese okoz, amikor úgy állnak fel a dojo végén, hogy ezt szeretnék folytatni otthon is.” Várunk minden 9-13 év közötti számtech és/vagy programozás megszállott gyerkőcöt sok szeretettel!  Idén IS játszani fogunk! A CodeCombat (codecombat.com) pályáin megküzdünk az ogrékkal, varázsfegyvereket vetünk be és drágaköveket gyűjtünk. Mellesleg pedig megismerkedünk a programozás alapfogalmaival és logikájával. Nem csak fiúknak! Ajánlott korosztály: 9-13 Ajánlott számítástechnikai jártasság: Kezdőtől közép-haladóig Jó, ha a jelölteket nem csak a játék miatt érdekli a számítógép. Ha kicsit programoztak is már, annál jobb, de ha nem, az se baj. 2019 Winter IS Coming 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 -Orlando

Winter IS Coming 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2! *THIS IS A VIRTUAL RACE!  WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked)  from any location you choose.  You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.  And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5K, 10K, half marathon and more! Did you know that the Winter Solstice is on December 21, 2019?  We are celebrating the Solstice with our first Winter IS Coming 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2!  This race is inspired by the Night King from The Game of Thrones!!! December 21 is also National Homeless Person’s Remembrance Day.  At least 15% of each registration will be donated to Stand Up for Kids,  who's mission is ending the cycle of youth homelessness. They do this in cities across America, one youth at a time. What: This is a 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 virtual run (or walk) to celebrate the Winter Solstice! You choose which distance you will complete. When: Complete your race any time in December 2019. Even better if you complete it on December 21, which is Winter Solstice. *For a limited time you can purchase an official t-shirt and/or hoodie HERE!*Medals and bibs will start shipping out mid-November 2019.  After that they will ship out within 2 to 5 days of signing up. Where:  You choose the course and time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us). Why:  This is our way of celebrating Winter Solstice and to raise funds for Stand Up for Kids. Learn How to use Power Drills and DIY your own Vintage Coat Rack

Join our friendly workshop and learn how to use power drills safely and create your own coat rack to take home! We will train you even if you've never held a hammer, or don't know your lug nuts from your wall plugs. Our workshop will give you the know-how and the confidence to tackle basic DIY jobs around your own home. Not only will you get hands-on experience, you will also receive valuable insight into the various accessories and attachments that can be used, as well as offering tips, tricks and techniques for using power tools and woodworking methods. You will learn: How to stay safe when attempting DIY projects How to use various cordless drills/drivers. Know how to select the correct drill bits, wall fixings and screws for plasterboard and brick walls  How to use a spirit level to ensure straight fixings How to affix salvaged items for hooks While honing your skills you will create your very own Vintage Coat Rack to take home complete with hand-outs. This is a great day out with loads of fun, a chance to meet new people and learn a new skill - result!
