Annasach Ceilidh Band invites you to our informal celebration of The Bard's birthday in the hidden gem of Edinburgh’s Old Town, The Counting House; a venue where Robert Burns himself was once entertained by poet Thomas Blacklock!
The ceilidh will start at 8pm with a break for a buffet supper served around 9.30pm of haggis (vegetarian option available), neeps & tatties, and a complimentary dram of The Famous Grouse to wash it all down. Then it's back to the dancing!
Our dance caller Tricia will be there as usual to explain the dances so all beginners welcome :) She might even sing a Burns song or two!
Tickets can be purchased here or at the door - although booking in advance is highly recommended as previous years have SOLD OUT; and are priced at £25 and £20 conc. You will receive an e-ticket which should be brought with you on the evening.
Please note that an official photographer may be in attendance at this event. By purchasing a ticket you agree to any image being used by Annasach for future publicity.

Holiday Gift Collective brings together seven East Bay female artisans in Lafayette, CA
San Francisco, CA – With a global pandemic and wave of fires, many small businesses have shuttered under the conditions, while others have united in finding new ways to sustain themselves and support their local communities through their crafts.
Contra Costa County recently moved into Tier 2, allowing for the return of indoor retail shopping under state guidelines. The artisans and women behind Holiday Gift Collective are thrilled at the opportunity to safely showcase their goods and boost their local economy just in time for the holidays.
The idea for Holiday Gift Collective was born from the shared values of each of the participating artisans as well as from the #shoplocal movement which encourages people to invest in their communities with the goal of strengthening the economy. Holiday Gift Collective is a union in support of community and equality, and will offer home goods, jewelry, gourmet foods, and more.
In addition to continuing to pave the path for aspiring female entrepreneurs, Holiday Gift Collective hopes to encourage the community to work together in the fight against climate change. Brands such as Planet Renu, SIP, and Hofssi Chocolates will be presenting a variety of eco-friendly and ethically sourced products. Joining the list of green businesses will be Hollie's Homegrown, a local organic herb farm on a mission to create the highest quality herbal food and body products. All together, they will provide Holiday Gift Collective customers with unique and special gift options that reduce our carbon-footprint.
To learn more about the women behind Holiday Gift Collective, visit their sites: Anne Morrison Rabe Photography, Annie Chrietzberg, Hofssi Chocolates, Hollie’s Homegrown, Manjusha Jewels, Planet Renu, and SIP (Seriously Imbibed Products).
Located at 3539 Plaza Way, Lafayette, CA, the pop-up will run Sunday, Nov. 1 through the end of the holiday season from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local guest artisans will be featured on a rotating basis.

About the Course
This workshop teaches you to apply deep learning techniques to a range of computer vision tasks through a series of hands-on exercises. You will work with widely-used deep learning tools, frameworks, and workflows to train and deploy neural network models on a fully-configured, GPU accelerated workstation in the cloud.
After a quick introduction to deep learning, you will advance to building and deploying deep learning applications for image classification and object detection, followed by modifying your neural networks to improve their accuracy and performance, and finish by implementing the workflow that you have learned on a final project. At the end of the workshop, you will have access to additional resources to create new deep learning applications on your own.
Learn the latest techniques on how to design, train, and deploy neural network-powered machine learning in your applications. You’ll explore widely used open-source frameworks and NVIDIA’s latest GPU-accelerated deep learning platforms.

In Brooklyn Glass’ 8 Week Introductory Glassblowing Course students will begin their glass journey by learning the basics of working with 2100 degree molten glass.
Students begin with basic techniques of gathering and shaping hot glass and then learn how to create various blown shapes like cups, bowls, plates, bottles and more.
Unlike other glass studios, our classes are housed within a fully functioning fabrication facility and glass warehouse allowing us to offer all the materials needed and our instructors are all skilled at their craft.
Working in teams, students will try their hand at creating forms while having fun in a creative and supportive environment.
Introductory glassblowing processes will allows students to form a solid foundation of working with hot glass.
CLASS MEETS ONCE A WEEK, FOR 8 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS. 6-9PM
