We will be having our second annual Co-Ed Wiffle Ball Tournament to support Operation Stand Down RI. All proceeds will go to OSDRI to show our appreciation for what they do for the service men and women in RI who selflessly served our Nation. In 1993, Tony DeQuattro (President) and a group of Vietnam Era veterans formed Operation Stand Down Rhode Island. The mission is to help veterans secure stable housing and employment as well as other assistance according to individual needs including case management, basic human needs, referrals, and education and training services. Our mission with this tournament is to then support OSDRI so they can better assist the veterans of the state. Teams will be compromised of 2-5 players, playing max of 3 in the field, and all players batting. Multiple games will be played at the same time starting with round robin style play for the first half of the day. Once the round robin games have been completed, we will then place the top teams into the brackets for playoffs. Playoffs will be double elimination. Rules are simple. 3 innings of play each game, 3 outs per team each inning. There will be a large backstop with a strike zone. There is no base running involved, as all hits will be determined by where it lands in the field. Different sections will be marked by cones designating single, double, triple, or Home Run. Base runners will be "ghost runners" and will advance the number of bases based on how the ball is hit. Outs are determined by 3 strikes, a caught ball in the air, or fielding a ball cleanly before it rolls and come to rest. Other various rules will be listed at each field and will be reviewed with each Captain upon registration. Upon arrival at the field, we will be also be doing a canned food drive. Each team will receive 1 run to be added to any round robin game for every 25 canned goods they donate. Max up to 5 runs to be added to each team. Runs can be added to one game or spread out over a max of 5 games. Only allowed to be used during Round Robin games. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There will be alcohol present, so ID's will be required at time of check-in. Vendors will be confirming age for any alcohol. Minimum age is 16 to enter into the tournament. What can I bring into the event? You may bring whatever you desire. There will be food and drinks for purchase via food trucks and various vendors, but feel free to bring your own as well and have a picnic or bbq. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Twenty Little Working Girls is Miami's largest membership service organization founded in 1953. Girls are proposed for membership based on volunteerism, academics, and willingness to serve the community. Individual club members annually donate at least 20 community service hours through various opportunities provided by the club. Additionally, the club hosts activities and social events which enable the members to get to know girls from other schools. Membership dues supports the above programming and, together with additional funds raised by the club, enable the club to award grants every year to nonprofit organizations. Past recipients of Twenty Little Working Girls grants include Boys & Girls Club, Breakthrough Miami, Camillus House, Casa Valentina, Glory House, Kristy House, Lotus House, Touching Miami with Love and many others.

The Springboard Women's Development Programme
Springboard is a 3 month personal development programme specifically developed and written for women.
The phenomenally successful, award-winning development programme for women. This enables women to identify the clear, practical and realistic steps that they want to take to make a better world for themselves at work and home, whilst building the practical skills and confidence to take these steps. It is delivered through an extensive network of licensed trainers and has been used by over 230,000 women in over 40 countries.
The main purpose of the Springboard programme is to build individuals’ self-confidence and provide them with the tools to identify what’s important to them and set goals to achieve their real aspirations.
Some people want to do more but don’t believe they can. Some live their lives for others, sacrificing their own dreams or beliefs under the impression that they have no other choice. Some simply don’t realise their own potential. The programme really works. Springboard’s founding principle is that we have much more freedom than we think to “change what we want to change and be what we want to be”.
As well as a rewarding journey for the individual, they and their company will ultimately see the benefits through employees being able to demonstrate their ability to:
Set and monitor their own goals
Face perceived problems head on with a more positive approach
Identify what they can improve on about themselves and how
Practice assertive behaviours for the best results
Appreciate the differences in other people
Build their self-confidence and self-belief
Communicate with, negotiate and influence others effectively

Who is it suitable for?
The Springboard Women’s Development Programme is designed for women from all backgrounds, ages and stages of their lives. Although the programme was initially written and developed for women in non-management grades, women from all levels, including management, have participated in the programme to the benefit of their personal and career development. For employers, the Springboard programme enables them to develop staff to their fullest potential, is quick and easy to implement and is often a key component in any Diversity and/or gender initiatives. For even greater impact, run the Springboard and Navigator programmes in parallel.
Why women only?
As with other minority groups (such as gender, age, religion, faith race, disability and sexuality) women have many issues in common. They get a huge boost by discovering they are ‘not the only one’.
The programme deals with sensitive issues, being women-only this makes it easier to talk about issues in a safe environment.Mainstream programmes do not address specific issues for women – this does. Gives your organisation an EO/Diversity boost to be doing something for women, in tune with gender equality legislation.Researched, designed and written by the Springboard Consultancy – Quality assurance, award-winning consultancy, reputable, recognises diversity in UK workplace.
What does the programme consist of?
The Springboard Women’s Development Programme has a tried and tested format that is frequently updated, grounded in reality and has an impeccable track record. Delivered over the duration of three months, it consists of five simple yet powerful ingredients:
A superb best-selling workbook, regularly up-dated and embracing all the material for the entire programme.
Four action-packed one-day workshops spread over three months.
The provision of real, relevant and inspiring role models.
The encouragement of effective networks within the group.
A local support system to enable sustainable progress.
Overall, the Springboard programme tackles issues such as:
Career development
Building confidence
Realistic self-assessment
Aspects of being a woman

Assertiveness skills
Setting practical yet stretching goals
Improving your health
Stress management
Presenting a positive image

Other women focus on results in their personal life, such as sorting out difficult relationships, improving health, dealing with stress and gaining a work/life balance.
