This programme will give you an understanding of what deafness is and explain some of its causes whilst exploring best practices when communicating with children with a hearing loss. You’ll have the opportunity to learn some basic signs and explore how you can use books and rhymes to support children with a hearing loss. Do I need to book my own communication support? No - please let us know what communication support you require and we will book it for you. Do I need to do any prep before attending? No, however we do ask that you complete the pre-course survey before attending (sent once you have booked on.) If the; Delegate cancels 20 working days or less before the planned date, a charge of 100% of the total cost will be made Delegate cancels 21 - 30 working days before the planned date, a charge of 50% will be made Delegate cancels 31 working days before the planned date, no charge will be made. This course will run subject to enough delegates booking on. We will let you know whether the course will run two weeks prior to the scheduled date.
