DOZENTIN
Dr. Maike Engel hat Psychologie und Germanistik in Basel, Bern und Amsterdam studiert. Anschließend promovierte sie an der Universität Hamburg in Klinischer Psychologie. Parallel zu ihrer Tätigkeit an der Universität absolvierte sie eine Ausbildung zur Psychologischen Psychotherapeutin. Aktuell praktiziert Maike in einer Praxis für Psychotherapie in Hamburg und bietet dort Einzel-, Gruppen- und Paartherapien an. Der Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit liegt in der Behandlung von Menschen mit Angst, Depression und Trauer. Als Psychotherapeutin weiß sie, dass emotionale Fähigkeiten eine wichtige Ressource darstellen, um langfristig psychisch und sozial gesund zu bleiben. Bei The School of Life möchte sie daher gesunde Menschen in ihrer Widerstandsfähigkeit fürs Leben stärken, indem sie ihnen bei der Verbesserung ihrer emotionalen Fähigkeiten hilft.
