Course Overview This course focuses on the responsibilities of the Product Owner. It explains the key points of the Product Owner’s mission: define the product vision, its content and values for the customers and the company. This course will also cover the different techniques on how to interact with customer representatives and development teams, ensuring a continuous feedback and a value-added result. The training is concluded with Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO I) exam, provided by scrum.org. This body of certification was created in 2009 by Ken Schwaber, one of the founders of Scrum. Course Objectives The course is based on an interactive approach in which trainees will learn how to establish the software product vision and road map that will support iterative strategy – balancing business value and technical risks. Exercises, case studies and examples are used to assist the participants to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and insights to make the shift from the traditional practices to agile product management with Scrum. At the end of the course, trainees have a clear understanding about: What is the importance of the Product Owner in an Agile team & what «managing by value» means? What is the Product Owner mission: implication and responsibility for result in Agile development? How to efficiently manage the product as a Product Owner? How to create user stories and implement story mapping techniques effectively? How to manage Product Backlog and Sprint perimeter?
