Course goals

Test automation has been with us for more than 30 years. However, in the last few years there has been quite a rapid development in this area. Test automation has finally become a full part of today’s testing discipline. Within this one-day course we will explain to you basic principles of test automation, why we need it, and it’s pros and cons in order to help you decide when and how to introduce it on your project.
In the second, practical part of the training, we will show you how to write and execute automated tests using Robot Framework without needing to know anything about programming. We will focus on the Selenium2Library, which allows us to test both web sites and web applications, how to identify page elements using xpath and how to interact with them. We will also show you also some other aspects of tool. For example, we will look at automatically generated reports and logs and how to use them to eliminate errors in our scripts, the use of variables and their priorities will be discussed as well. During the training you will perform a number of interactive exercises so you can gain real hands-on experience.
The Robot Framework is a generic test automation framework for acceptance testing and acceptance test-driven development (ATDD). It has easy-to-use tabular test data syntax and it utilizes the keyword-driven testing approach. Its testing capabilities can be extended by test libraries implemented either with Python or Java, and users can create new higher-level keywords from existing ones using the same syntax that is used for creating test cases.

The will-call windows are located at the U.S. Bank Stadium Ticket Office, on the Northwest corner adjacent to the Polaris Gate. Will-Call will be available for pick-up beginning one hour prior to the event being attended, unless otherwise noted. A signature from the person authorized to pick up the tickets will be obtained at the time of pick up.

MAKE A TOTE OR 6-PACK CARRIER
This workshop will cover the basics of woodworking, starting with terminology, wood structure and safety. There will be discussion and planning, measuring and the use of various tools. During the class you will use the chop/miter saw, table saw, surface planer, jointer planer, band saw, drill press, router table, sander & safety equipment. All attendees will create a tote that is large enough to carry 6 cans or bottles.
Minimum of 2 people per class - Maximum 4 people per class
About the Instructor:
Troy Reiter got started at an early age in the woodshop with his grandfather, who was a carpenter/ woodworker. He showed Troy how to use a saw and how to drive a nail with a hammer. Then, how to straighten those nails after Troy had bent them.
Working with wood professionally and studying woodworking for over 35 years now, Troy still finds himself a student of the trade. He has built and still builds everything from framing and trimming out houses to built-ins and custom furniture.
Woodworking is his passion. As Troy avows, "I enjoy how wood speaks to me and tells a story. I enjoy using the MANY TOOLS to process the lumber into a finished product...My life is built around woodworking."

Minimum age requirements? This event is for ages 18 and up. Parking? If parking is unavailable in the front, you may park in the back on Brookhaven, between Central Florida Wrestling Academy and the Orlando Cross-Fit gym. Clothing Restrictions? Dress is casual, wear closed toed shoes, hair tied back, and no loose fitting clothing or jewelry. You may bring safety goggles, hearing protection, and a dust mask, but they will be provided. We need to know in advance as to whether we must cancel the event, due to lack of interest. Therefore, you must cancel 7 days prior to the event to receive a full refund. However, based on the number of people in the class, we reserve the right to cancel a class at any time. You will receive a full refund within 5-7 days of cancellation notice, depending on your bank.
