Full Day South Indian Vegetarian Cookery Course
We meet at Hounslow West tube station at 10.30am and begin with a brief shopping trip to the local Indian shop to learn how to select specialist ingredients. We will then recreate a full South Indian feast in this unique, hands on course, where you will use ingredients such as tamarind, coconut, curry leaves and a variety of spices that make the food of this region so fresh and delicious. We will cook foods from several southern states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Karnataka. Typical recipes- Lemon Rice with nuts, Sambhar lentils, Sambhar powder spice blend, Green beans with coconut and urid lentils, Thayir Vadai (Crisp lentil fritters in a velvety spiced yoghurt sauce), Bagare Baingan (Aubergines cooked in a toasted sesame and tamarind curry), Cabbage thoran (cabbage cooked mustard seeds and coconut), Ginger Raita FAQs Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? The course is open to 18 year olds and above. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Hounslow West is 25 minutes away from Central London on the Piccadilly Line. There is free car parking in the Hounslow West staion car park. What can/can't I bring to the event? Everything you need for the course will be provided. No unfortunately not, as we will be taking into account any food allergies/intolerances of all the participants. Can I update my registration information? Yes you can. What's the cancellation policy? Cancellation policy (please see FAQs on www.cookingwithmonisha.com) If you cancel over 4 weeks before the start of the course you can choose an alternative date or course of an equivalent value. If you cancel within 4 weeks of the course, no transfers are permitted and you will forfeit your place.
