In this 2 hour retreat, you will learn:
How to search for knitting books at any public library in Singapore.
What are the main different types of knitting publications.
How to find and identify knitting patterns that are suitable for your own level of skill.
How to find and identify knitting patterns that can take your current level of skill one step further.
How to judge whether a pattern is realistically doable and when it is just a mere fantasy.
How to access current knitting magazines online for free.
How to access knitting ebooks for free.
How to figure out what type of yarn and needles you need for a chosen pattern. How to figure out substitutes if you don't have exactly what the pattern calls for.
No knitting materials are required. Please bring your library card, smartphones and tablets (e.g. iPad) if you have them.
This is a fun and relaxing trip to the library for knitters of any age, and any level of knitting experience.

Yes, you need to have some basic knitting skills before you attend this lesson. You can sign up for our Knitting for Beginners lesson if you are interested to learn how to knit.
Can we have the lesson at another library instead of Jurong Regional Library?
Yes, after you have purchased a ticket, we can arrange to meet at a public library of your choice to conduct the lesson.
How long is the lesson?
The lesson is 2 hours long. You are free to stay in the library to continue with your reading after the lesson.
Can I bring along a friend for this private lesson?
As we will be in a library, we need to keep the group size small, and our volume low. As such, the maximum group size is 2. Please select the correct number of tickets when you are purchasing. Each attendee requires one ticket.
Do I need to bring any knitting materials?
There is no need to bring any knitting materials.
Why do I need to bring my smartphone or tablet?
We will be teaching you how to access the online knitting resources through your own smartphone and tablet.
