Please join us for 2 hours on the 4th Sunday of each month, to help us assemble meals for our friends in need! Un entretien mené par Pierre-pascal Bruneau de la librairie Le Temps Retrouvé  Le 20 septembre prochain nous avons le grand plaisir de recevoir Laurent Gaudé. L’entretien sera mené par Pierre-Pascal Bruneau de la librairie française d’Amsterdam Le Temps Retrouvé. Laurent Gaudé compte parmi les écrivains français contemporains les plus célébrés. Peu d’auteurs maitrisent comme lui tous les genres littéraires. À l’image de Camus ou d’Henry de Montherlant, Laurent Gaudé excelle aussi bien dans l’écriture de romans et de nouvelles que de pièces de théatre, mais aussi dans l’art périlleux de la poésie. Laurent Gaudé est également l’auteur de livrets d’opéra. Bref, l’homme de lettres le plus complet qu’il soit. Tôt reconnu et primé par ses pairs et le grand public, Laurent Gaudé a obtenu le prix Goncourt des lycéens en 2002 et le prix des libraires en 2003 pour son roman La Mort du roi Tsongor (Actes Sud) , puis le prix Goncourt, à l’âge de 32 ans pour Le Soleil des Scorta, (Actes Sud) en 2004. La langue de Laurent Gaudé, qu’il s’agisse de théatre, de poésie ou de roman, sonne et nous prend au corps. Puissante, souvent sensuelle, la phrase de Laurent Gaudé, emporte par son rythme. D’une grande force évocatrice, Laurent Gaudé s’empare des grands mythes et des personnages historiques, mais tenant à distance le récit classique du roman historique, il se confronte aux questions fondamentales que se pose l’homme depuis la nuit des temps. Nous parlerons d’abord de son dernier ouvrage, Nous l’Europe, banquet des peuples, (Actes Sud), un essai en forme de poème en vers libres sur l’Europe, son histoire, sa construction et le combat que nous devons mener pour la défendre. Ce poème a été mis en scène pour le Festival d’Avignon par Roland Auzet. Nous parlerons aussi de “Salina”, son dernier roman paru en 2018 et de “Écoutez nos défaites” paru en 2017, (Actes Sud). Nous parlerons bien entendu théatre et nous évoquerons plusieurs des pièces de son importante oeuvre dramatique. Les livres de Laurent Gaudé seront disponibles à la vente dès après l'entretien et Laurent Gaudé les dédicacera pour vous. Nouveau lieu pour les soirées littéraires de l'Échappée Belle Un nouveau lieu pour nos soirées littéraires ! Pour la première fois la soirée littéraire de l'Échappée Belle se tiendra Keizersgrachtkerk, Keizersgracht 566, 1017 EM Amsterdam. Elle situe pratiquement en face de la librairie Le temps Retrouvé. L'entretien se déroulera dans la grande salle et vous pourrez, après l'entretien, déguster des vins fins de France.
