Miramos hacia Kundera buscando afianzar los cánones de la novela de nuestro tiempo. «La novela—dice— es como una síntesis de la filosofía, la narración, los sueños, el reportaje y la autobiografía». Sin alejarnos del SXXI regresamos a la Europa de finales de los años setenta con su cuarta novela «El libro de la risa y el olvido», una obra que mezcla varios géneros, un conglomerado de imágenes, reflexiones y vidas ajenas, que confluyen en el mar de los fanatismos y el amor —temas recurrentes en esta obra. La Republica Checa, su difícil historia, está narrada con crudeza, pero siempre con lealtad a su propia estética. La historia de la República Checa se reconstruye a partir de los diarios de Tamina —protagonista de la historia— y las cartas de amor de Mirekz. Esta obra, como otras del autor tiene una estructura narrativa poco convencional que, entre otras cosas, nos ha motivado su inclusión en nuestro Club de Lectura. «El libro de la risa y el olvido» es difícil de clasificar. Our goal is to aid in the spiritual development of children through biblically based creative play, activities and workshops. With Kids' World, you can be spiritually fed in peace, knowing that your children are lovingly being cared for.

Kids’ World requires all parents to register their child at least 7 days in advance prior to your class and/or event. All children must be fully potty trained; ages are 3 to 12 years old. If you register your child and do not show within 30 minutes of your meeting time, your child’s space will be released. If you have more than two No-shows with-in a 30 day period without notification we will be unable to offer Kids’ World services to you and your family for 90 days. To avoid any no-show penalties please contact us via email at kidsworld@fbcglenarden.org at least 24 hours prior to cancellation. Parent Volunteer Requirement
Kids’ World is primarily supported by volunteers. Due to the large number of children we serve, it is mandatory that all parents who use Kids' World be required to perform 2 - 3 service hours per month.
If you use Kids World:
All parents who use Kids' World must volunteer to serve 2 - 3 hours each month.
Unfortunately, if you are unable to volunteer, we will not be able to offer childcare to you and your family.
*Please Note: We require that you sign up to volunteer for your first 2-3 service hours within the first 2 weeks of your use of Kids' World. If you sign up to volunteer and you do not show, your childcare services will be suspended until you perform the service hours you committed to. Pick-Up Policy
Late pick-up is defined as being over 10 minutes late picking up your child after Kids’ World has closed. Parents will receive a verbal warning on the first offense. On the second offense you will receive a written warning that will be filed with the Kids World Coordinator. Any family with three late pick-ups in a three month period will be prohibited from using Kids’ World services for 90 days.
Discipline Policy
All parents will be given a discipline policy to read and sign. Please note if your child’s behavior is not corrected after a third time, your child will be prohibited from using Kids World services for 90 days. After 90 days we will assess the situation to determine if it is feasible for your child to return to Kids world.
