Speaker Juliet Eilperin, Washington Post correspondent
Juliet Eilperin has spent 15 years covering the environment at The Washington Post, a job that has taken her from the halls of Congress to a seat on Air Force One and the wilds of the Alaskan tundra. She will reflect on how policy, politics and science intersect when it comes to climate change, public lands, and a range of other issues that shape our planet.
Juliet Eilperin has worked on The Washington Post’s national desk for more than two decades, covering the White House, Congress, the environment and a host of domestic and international policy matters. She now serves the Post’s senior national affairs correspondent, focusing on the environment and other domestic issues that shed light on how President Trump is transforming the federal government and many policies enacted under former President Obama.

Third time's the charm, baby. ALL SEATS ARE IN THE SPLATTER ZONE! THE VENUE DOORS ONLY OPEN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOWTIME. IF YOU ARRIVE EARLIER, YOU WILL HAVE TO LINE UP AND WAIT OUTSIDE. The Mansfield's SELL-OUT SMASH of 2017 AND 2019 returns to the city that loved it SO BLOODY MUCH for the SECOND CONSECUTIVE SMASH YEAR! Zac Mansfield returns as director! Performances begin August 14th, 2020. Booking thru October 31st, 2020. Every FRIDAY and SATURDAY at 7:30PM! All tickets $40 + s/c. This hilarious show takes all the elements of the cult classic films The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness and combines them into one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time. Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to Ash (a housewares employee turned demon-killing hero) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons tell bad jokes ... and all to music. The songs in the show are completely off the wall. Titles like "All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons" and "What the F**k Was That?" will have audiences rolling in their seats and screaming for more and more blood. This show has fun with the horror genre and, in doing so, appeals to a wide audience. It's the only show with a "Splatter Zone"a section of the audience that gets covered in fake blood. And with this combination of blood, jokes, cheesy effects and awesome musical numbers, Evil Dead The Musical is unlike any show you've ever seen. While the Evil Dead films are the definition of cult movies, as a stage show, Evil Dead: The Musical has become a cult sensation of its own. The show played off-Broadway in New York, has broken records in Toronto, has won awards in Korea and has had more than 200 productions mounted across the globe! Recommended for ages 16+ (strong language, adult humour). Viewer discretion is advised. *While the fake blood will wash off skin, we make no guarantee and take no responsibility that it will wash out of all fabrics. Wear a white shirt (some will be for sale at the show) to have some fun and create a lasting memory! Complimentary coat check will be provided for those in the Splatter Zones.* mansfieldscabaret.com ALL SALES FINAL. NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS.

An entry-level course that teaches you how to use Esri's ArcGIS Desktop within oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) activities using petroleum industry spatial data and workflows. This course allows you to explore the benefits in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to your petroleum workflows.
You will be introduced to fundamental ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcView) functionality that allows geoscientists to integrate spatial and non-spatial data and integrate, manage and analyse data to produce information for decision-making.
Pre-requisites
No geospatial knowledge is assumed beyond that acquired through the use of geological maps. It is not essential to have petroleum E&P sector knowledge however; this course is geared towards assisting participants to implement E&P workflows geospatially.
Intended audience
Geoscience professionals and support staff who are going to be using GIS tools and E&P project staff who need a basic understanding of GIS in order to manage geospatial projects.
Features
Focuses on how to manage E&P workflows using GIS and identifies the advantages - this is not a generic 'learn about ArcGIS for Desktop' course
Uses industry standard ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcView) tools from Esri (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox)
Two-day intensive course
Instructor-led hands-on learning by ‘doing’
Trainer demonstrations and course validation questions

Set-up an ArcGIS Project and differentiate between the various Table of Contents views
Contrast the types of information that are stored in a layer file versus a feature class
Import and link non-spatial datasets with spatial data using the georeferencing, join and relate tools
Create new spatial data from a table of coordinates using the XY Event tool and save this data into a geodatabase
Operate a variety of different editing tools to amend and extend a play fairway map
Analyse and query spatial data to select and exclude data for the purpose of creating new data layers and support decision making
Export data to produce layer and map packages for storing and sharing data
