Learning 2 Lead Student Leadership Certificate Program Registration
The Learning 2 Lead Student Leadership Certificate program is a co-curricular leadership development program designed to help NVC students develop the basic knowledge and skills essential for effective and ethical leadership. This self-paced program empowers students in developing the knowledge and skills necessary for success in today’s global community. Eligibility Requirements. The Learning 2 Lead program is free and open to all currently enrolled Alamo Colleges students. Students must also be in good standing and maintain the minimum GPA of 2.0. Students on academic dismissal or disciplinary probation may participate upon recommendation of an appropriate college official. Program Requirements. The Leadership Certificate will be awarded to students who complete the following requirements: Leadership Development Seminars, 12 Hours The 7 Habits of Highly Effective College Students (4 hours) Leadership Skills (2 hours) Time Management (2 hours) Values & Diversity (2 hours) Conflict Management (2 hours) Team Building Activities (Low Ropes Course), 4 Hours Community Service, (i.e. San Antonio Food Bank, Haven for Hope, Morgan's Wonderland, Habitat for Humanity, San Antonio Humane Society, etc. ), 4 Hours Journal Reflections (Program Capstone) Students may enroll in the program at any time and there is no time limit for completion! Program Benefits. All students who successfully complete the Learning 2 Lead program will be awarded a certificate of completion and a letter of reference. Additionally, participation in this program can enhance your competitiveness, because perspective transfer colleges and employers seek qualities of leadership, integrity, service and commitment from potential candidates.
