Hackenbusch: authentisch, kaputt und durchgeknallt ...ein Mann mit vielen Gesichtern! Als Zuschauer weiß man nie, mit wem man's zu tun haben wird. Man entdeckt die Welt der anderen...ja, der so ganz anderen Menschen. Solche, die an sich selbst oder an der Gesellschaft scheitern. Mal in Form eines sozialphobischen Muttersöhnchens, eines multitoxischen Stadt- Streuners, einer Gutmenschen- Pädagogin oder auch als Großneffe des Führers. Tiefschwarz, böse und garantiert nicht politisch korrekt bringt Tim Karasch, auch als 50% und Hauptautor der Frankfurter Klasse bekannt, Milieu- Studien auf die Bühne und vor die Kamera...skurril und mit viel Wortwitz. Die kabarettistisch- obligatorische Gesellschaftskritik wird dem Publikum in Form von menschlichen Schwächen und Abgründen vor den Latz geknallt. Es wird immer wieder klar, warum die Komödie und die Tragödie Nachbarn sind. Von der Frankfurter Klasse (in Teilzeit) emanzipiert, geht Karasch unter dem Pseudonym Hackenbusch nun auch seine eigenen Wege.Heute im Horst gibt es dazu die Premiere seines ersten Solo- Stückes!!!

Toen Other Lives opdook uit het landelijke Oklahoma hadden hun grootse, filmische arrangementen en beklijvende, melancholische melodieën een fijne bijwerking: ze klonken als grootse hemeltaferelen en ellenlange horizons, alsof het dna van de band gevormd werd door de wijde vlaktes waarin de leden opgroeiden. Other Lives braken door in 2011 met het album 'Tamer animals', door MOJO omschreven als "the next must-have pastoral American sensation". Vijf jaar na de opvolger 'Rituals' keert de groep nu eindelijk terug met nieuw werk in de vorm van 'For their love': een poëtische plaat over individuele en maatschappelijke struggles in turbulente tijden en hun meest suggestieve en intieme plaat tot op heden.

JUDITH KIDDO

Judith Kiddo stelt op Les Nuits 2020 'Petit chien' voor, haar debuut-ep die verschijnt na een reeks opgemerkte shows en concerten. De Brusselses synthpop, geproducet door Lucien Fraipont van Robbing Millions, is prettig gestoord, verzamelt een eclectische reeks aan invloeden en valt op met z'n uitgesproken songwriting. Tel daar nog eens de zoete, lichtjes soulvolle stem van Kiddo bij, slimme gitaartjes en retro-futuristische synths, en je weet wat voor vlees je in de kuip hebt. De muzikante staat bekend voor haar lumineuze optredens en komt naar Les Nuits Botanique met een heuse all-star band!

LOUISE VERNEUIL

Tijdloze, romantische chanson met dromerige ogen en een frou: als dat helemaal je ding is, dan moet Louise Verneuil dringend op je radar verschijnen. Deze Française mixt Jane Birkin, Marianne Faithfull, Patti Smith tot tweetalige singer-songwriter pop die voorzien is van een stevige cool en een warme melancholie.

ROBBING MILLIONS :
Robbing Millions is (almost) BACK! Nadat de Brusselse band eind 2016 hun alom geprezen titelloze debuut uitbracht, en en passant een hele rits prestigieuze podia plat speelde (Pitchfork Paris, Pukkelpop, Dour Festival, Eurosonic, Paleo Festival, ... ), werd het plots stil rond de avantpop band van Lucien Fraipont.Alle groepsleden gingen hun eigen weg en Fraipont trok in zijn eentje naar L.A., waar hij een gelijkgestemde ziel vond in cultfiguur Shags Chamberlain, bekend van zijn productie- en mixwerk voor Ariel Pink, Drugdealer en Mac Demarco. Het duo werkte gedurende een periode van anderhalf jaar aan het album, tijdens verschillende sessies in zowel Brussel als L.A. Tussen de Robbing Millions-bedrijven door werd Fraipont ingelijfd als side-kick bij de legendarische Brusselse avant-garde band Aksak Maboul en producete hij de eerste ep van new kid on the block Judith Kiddo, die hij ook live begeleidt.Het resultaat van de samenwerking met Chamberlain is een trip van 18 nummers, met invloeden van Braziliaanse MPB, Wally Badarou, Italiaanse progressive rock, video game muziek en Ariel Pink & R. Stevie Moore's weirdo-pop. Release in 2020 !
