The Scotty Foundation Charity Event
This year has been hard on everyone. It’s been especially hard on non-profits, big and small. Here in Central Florida, local non-profits like The Scotty Foundation needs your help. The Scotty Foundation in Apopka, FL is looking for animal lovers to support their horse sanctuary. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused The Scotty Foundation to lose funding and support. More than ever, these animals need love and support. In the true holiday spirit, share the love by supporting the Scotty Foundation at this charity event. The Scotty Foundation is a Horse Sanctuary and so much more. They give underprivileged children the opportunity to train and ride with horses. The Scotty Foundation also offers horse therapy to teens who are suicidal or have trouble coping with life. In the past six years of running, The Scotty Foundation has never asked for a penny from the community. They have funded the entire farm themselves and they offer free horse rides to the public. We support them and we would love for everyone to come out and show them some love. This charity event is free of charge. We only ask you volunteer your time with tasks such as brushing and bathing horses. Everyone has a gift to share. You are invited to enjoy an afternoon with horses and have food with us. Come out with an open heart and spread the word. Sunday, December 27, 2020 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM EST 3603 Golden Gem Rd, Apopka, FL 32712 For this event, we are taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions. We care about your health and the health of these horses. There will be hand sanitizer available at the stables for guests to use. We are requesting that you bring your mask, and we will provide masks if needed. This event is a great way to spend an afternoon riding and caring for horses. They are intuitive animals who feel the love that you offer! We hope to see you at our charity event! ***About The Scotty Foundation*** The Scotty Foundation is a horse rescue and rehabilitation farm in Central FL. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses and other animals. They also provided therapeutic benefits to those people and families who might otherwise not be in a position to gain access to these animals and to find these animals a forever home. Currently, they are building a core group of young horses, training them with love to our specifications, and work to provide free access to children and adults with little or no experience. We continue to help rehabilitate and rehome all the animals we felt we could help, cats and dogs included. To learn more about The Scotty Foundation, visit www.thescottyfoundation.net.
