Taipei LUMS Alumni Event 2020

Lancaster University Management School alumni are invited to attend a reunion event in Taipei on Friday 17 January 2020. This is a great opportunity for LUMS alumni in the Taipei area to connect and network, as well as to hear about the latest news and developments from Lancaster. FILL THE PANTRY FOR RMHC® FAMILIES Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Las Vegas expands the ways you can help feed our families during the 2021 food drive. WHO: Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Las Vegas (RMHC®) and Smith’s Food & Drug Stores WHAT: 20th Annual Food Drive – Volunteers will be at Smith’s stores throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, Mesquite and Pahrump, sharing our Wish List with shoppers and collecting food, gift cards, and cash donations for families staying at the House. Additional volunteers will be at the House sorting collected food and stocking the House pantry. We’ve expanded ways to participate for those not comfortable going to a grocery store, including buying a Smith’s Gift Card online, making an online donation, or utilizing our online wish list to shop online and deliver the items to the House. Once the Will Call window closes, unclaimed tickets will be available through the end of the show at the Guest Services Booth at Section 109, please enter at the Media entrance near the box office. For the box office to release tickets not in your name you need to submit a written letter of authorization along with a copy of the driver’s license of the party whose name is on the account. Tickets are not accepted for Will Call from patrons wishing to leave tickets for others. Terracotta: Past, Present and Future This conference is designed to provide a historical context for the use of terracotta and faïence in architectural structures and the latest information on the restoration and refurbishment of buildings bearing these materials, as well as promote the use of terracotta and faïence in contemporary new-build projects. The conference is suitable for all those involved in conservation, refurbishment and new-build architectural activities - whether in local government, architectural practice, project management or training and education.  Leading practitioners in the field of architectural conservation; the manufacturers of terracotta and faïence; and designers of new-build construction featuring these materials will be among the panel of speakers. The conference will include a tour of some of the most important buildings in central Manchester as well as a visit to a major manufacturer of both conservation and new-build architectural terracotta and faïence.
