Trainer Info Elizabeth Taylor (Senior Trainer, Econsultancy) Liz worked in the entertainment industry for 12 years on film launches such as Harry Potter, Fast & Furious and Mamma Mia. During this time she gained a wealth of experience in marketing, including advertising, promotional planning, trade marketing and marketing communications. The latter was predominantly focused on digital media and how to use new and emerging platforms to engage with consumers. Liz took a maternity break, during which time she completed her Masters in Social Media Marketing, and then decided on a career change to professional academia. Liz is now focused on teaching and supporting students for Marketing qualifications and supporting local businesses with marketing consultancy services. Liz has worked for the University of Hertfordshire, delivering their undergraduate courses, and the level 4 and 6 CIM qualifications. Join our friendly workshop and learn how to use power drills safely and create your own coat rack to take home! We will train you even if you've never held a hammer, or don't know your lug nuts from your wall plugs. Our workshop will give you the know-how and the confidence to tackle basic DIY jobs around your own home. Not only will you get hands-on experience, you will also receive valuable insight into the various accessories and attachments that can be used, as well as offering tips, tricks and techniques for using power tools and woodworking methods. You will learn: How to stay safe when attempting DIY projects How to use various cordless drills/drivers. Know how to select the correct drill bits, wall fixings and screws for plasterboard and brick walls  How to use a spirit level to ensure straight fixings How to affix salvaged items for hooks While honing your skills you will create your very own Vintage Coat Rack to take home complete with hand-outs. The main focus of the GARAD conference is to establish global partnerships and links between academic researchers and the poultry industry to improve joined up work in regards to preventing, controlling and combating avian diseases.
