The Surprising Power of Difference - Lunchtime Networking Event

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognise, accept and celebrate those differences. (Audre Lorde)
We can all identify with situations where we feel we don’t fit in.
Imagine not being able to share what’s different or unique about you, every day, for fear that others won’t understand or accept you.
There are about 1,000 people on the autism spectrum in Jersey - and these are just the people who have been formally diagnosed.  Many people are not fully diagnosed until well into adulthood, if at all.  Statistically many more men than women are on the autism spectrum, although there is growing evidence that this is not the full picture and perhaps women are just better at hiding it.
How many of your colleagues might be on the autism spectrum and are having to try to hide their difference every day to avoid being stigmatised at work?  Perhaps you are?
How much more personal potential can be realised with better understanding of autism in the work place?
We are delighted that two very notable and inspiring experts in autism will be exploring these issues with us at our next networking event - Philip Le Claire, Chairman of Autism Jersey, and Karen Gallichan, of soon to be Channel Swim fame! (
The Surprising Power of Difference business networking event is sponsored by Santander International.  Santander International are also generously sponsoring Karen's inspirational Channel Swim attempt in September 2018, in aid of a new bursary for adults with autism in Jersey.  If you would like to donate to this very worthy (and much underfunded) cause, then please do click on the link above to Karen's fundraising page.  In addition, any surplus funds raised through ticket sales for this TDN event will be donated to Autism Jersey.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please contact Sam and Kate at [email protected]
What's the refund policy?
Unfortunately we are unable to refund tickets.  However, if you are unable to attend and would like to gift your ticket to a local charitable or not-for-profit organisation, please do let us know at [email protected] and we would be delighted to faciltate this for you.
