Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Colleges of Contra Costa (Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, and Los Medanos College) are accredited, public community colleges that enroll approximately 1,200 international students from 80 countries. Each College offers a wide range of services for non-immigrant, international students such as international admissions, immigration advising, academic counseling, and free academic tutoring.
International students can join numerous student organizations and choose from a variety of accommodation options, including homestay families and private or shared apartments located within walking distance of each campus. With annual tuition under US $10,000, a focus on student success, and more than 125-degree programs to choose from, the Colleges of Contra Costa offer one of the most affordable and likely transfer paths to prestigious 4-year institutions.
Each year more than 1,000 students transfer to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine (Diablo Valley College is the #1 transfer institution to UC Berkeley and UC Davis among international students). Over 450 international students transfer each year to these and other public and private colleges and universities in California, throughout the U.S., and abroad.
