Join us at the University of Central Florida Alumni Center as we discuss GUNS, THE LAW, AND CHANGE: 7:00p-7:30p: Spectrum News anchor Holly Gregory curates stories about gun violence and the repercussions of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Spectrum News will show our viewers how law enforcement is implementing the first major changes to Florida’s gun laws in two decades. She also has emotional interviews with survivors of two other historical school shootings. 7:30p-8:30p Live Spectrum News Originals Town Hall: Guns, The Law, And Change. Spectrum News will bring together lawmakers, gun rights advocates, students, and attorneys to look at where Florida has progressed since the Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in 2018. That day sparked a revolution of sorts amongst students and prodded our legislators to act, and act fast. You will also hear from Carey Baker, a former Florida Legislator whose family owns the oldest gun shop in America. Also, gripping testimonials from Pulse Survivors Brandon Wolfe and Orlando Torres. Wolfe has become a force in fighting for stricter gun laws. Torres hid for three hours under a sink in a bathroom at the Pulse Nightclub.
