This is a list to JOIN so you can be notified when classes are scheduled. Classes are held in Texas only. Registration fees vary and will be due at the time you register. Signing up here does not register you for any class and does not guarantee a spot in the class you are interested in. You will need to complete your registration and payment on the new forum. Be sure to add @eventbrite.com as an accepted email domain so your updates don't end up in spam.
2019 Classes available:
NEW!   Lactation Principles (1 day, $35, held every odd-numbered month, no pre-requisites)
NEW!   Advanced Lactation Management (2 days, $65, held every even-numbered month in same location as Principles class, 1 pre-requisite class)
*  The newly developed classes above will have minimal lecture time and more interaction throughout the day. Effective January 1, 2020, an increase of $10 per class will begin.

Clinical Lactation Practicum (free 2-day class for Texas WIC Staff) Begin at the Lactation Support Centers (LSC) in Austin, Dallas, or Houston then head over to the hospital. Day 1 - hospital, Day 2 - LSC clinic. Observing/shadowing RN, IBCLC. 2 pre-requisite classes.
NEW!   Clinical Lactation Skills for RNs (1-day class, $75, geared towards RNs working in Maternal Child Health or a Baby Friendly Hospital, others considered). Held at the LSCs in Austin, Dallas, Houston and McAllen.

If your facility is interested in hosting these classes in 2020 and can hold at least 60 comfortably with enough space to move around freely for group work and discussions on case studies and skills activities, please email the CECoordinator.
Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum registration numbers are not met. When 2 dates are offered for a 1-day class, we may combine the classes into one if registration numbers are low to allow for a better educational experience. Please make non-refundable travel arrangements if you will be traveling from out of town.
The Principles of Lactation Management (POLM) and Lactation Counseling and Problem Solving (LCPS) classes will no longer be offered after June 2019.
