Our Tynecastle at the Match Centre, supported by the Scottish FA and McDonald’s, is a brand new session for 5-12 year olds on Friday afternoons – and it’s completely FREE!
The centre offers youngsters the opportunity to participate in games–based activity and matches from 2:00 - 3:00pm on the Community Pitch at Tynecastle Park and Tynecastle High School (weather dependant).
A key feature of the session is to encourage the players themselves to lead and inspire the type of games they want to play and help them achieve greater ownership of the activities – very much like street football of the past.
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in free-play as well as small-sided tournaments, and weekly challenges (with some great prizes on offer!).
All of this combined, we hope to create a culture of football in the local area that will see more kids out playing football, and contributing towards an active, healthy lifestyle.
