This series is a comprehensive survey of the landscape of faceplate and spindle turning and incorporates many of the shorter individual turning classes that focus on single skills or projects. In this class you will learn safe lathe operation and spend the majority of your class time perfecting technique through a series of projects. Topics include proper lathe set-up, spindle and face-plate turning, making a spindle project, bowl turning, making a lidded box and turning a wine glass. All you need to bring is enthusiasm and energy to learn new techniques. All materials are included.
