Manchester Mental Health Choir
Our new term will begin on Wednesday 4th September, 2019. Choir will run every Wednesday apart from half term, Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks. Please see the bottom of this page for exact venue, term times and start times. Choir rehearsal venues may be subject to change but will always be in a Central Manchester location. Bee Vocal - Manchester’s Mental Health Choir has created space for new members. If you are currently or have previously experienced mental health challenges or if you’ve supported a loved one through mental health challenges and you love singing then this is the choir for you!Bee Vocal is first and foremost a choir but we have purposefully created a safe, non-judgemental space where you can be surrounded by people who know what your facing without any questions asked. The Manchester Mental Health Choir meets every Wednesday during term time and each rehearsal is led by Musical Director Dan McDwyer. Dan is an established vocal coach, conductor and arranger currently holding position of Musical Director of several choirs including the Manchester Lesbian and Gay Chorus, Pendleton Contemporary choir, Manchester City Council choir and Deloitte staff choir. Dan has previously been Musical Director of Francis House Staff Choir and Parrswood Harmony choir who were featured on One Love Manchester. He has conducted choirs at most major stadiums and arenas across the UK, Working with choirs for Blue Peter and BBC Children in Need. His choirs and arrangements have featured with artists including Ariana Grande, Katherine Jenkins, Kerry Ellis, The Script and many others. Dan will be supported by Elaine Craig Graduate Psychologist and Ged Mulherin one of TripleC’s Workshop Leaders. Our aim is to create a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment for you to make new friends, share experiences and join together as one voice. Dan McDwyer is just the man to build your singing confidence. Psychology studies show us choirs have a positive impact on mental wellbeing. The new friendships remind people they are valued and belong. Singing relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression and group singing releases chemicals that make you feel happier. Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate train stations are within easy walking distance. He started his career as a Research Engineer in PETRONAS before moving on to resume various positions in various OPUs in PETRONAS. In his current position, he leads all technology projects and setting technology direction for PETRONAS activities, both in domestic and international assets. He also holds an honorary professorship from Institute of Petroleum Engineering Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh United Kingdom as part of his contribution to the society.He has published many technical papers in local and international journal especially in the area of sub-surface engineering. He is the recipient the SPE 2010 Asia Pacific Regional Technical Award on Reservoir Description and Dynamics. Currently, he is the SPE Northern Asia Pacific Regional Director.Nasir Haji Darman graduated in BSc from Texas Tech University and PhD from Heriot Watt University, both in Petroleum Engineering, in 1990 and 2000 respectively. James Watt Event This Scottish Oil Club Event is held in partnership with the Watt Club, the alumni association of Heriot-Watt University, who have a long-held tradition of recognising James Watt’s birthday each year by "supping" together. In recognition of Heriot-Watt’s long established association with the Scottish Oil Club, the annual January "James Watt Lecture" be delivered by a leading commentator who will address aspects of the role of oil and gas in the broader energy sector. Il corso di formazione per conseguire il diploma di Insegnante di Hip Hop è suddiviso in due livelli di preparazione: Primo livello: Insegnante Hip Hop qualifica che fornisce l'abilitazione all'insegnamento della disciplina Hip Hop; Secondo livello: Qualifica di specializzazione di insegnante Hip Hop. FINALITÀ: La finalità del percorso professionale è quella di creare una figura di Insegnante di Hip Hop con un notevole bagaglio di competenze tecniche della disciplina che lo renderà professionista del settore. Tale formazione professionale consentirà ai partecipanti di conseguire, previo esame finale, il diploma e il tesserino di Insegnante in Hip Hop rilasciato da ASC, ente di promozione sportiva riconosciuto CONI e valido per l’insegnamento in tutti i centri sportivi, associazioni, scuole di ballo e danza. Diploma valido ai fini delle agevolazioni fiscali per l’attività Sportiva Dilettantistica (L. 342/2000). I diplomi rilasciati danno la possibilità di esercitare la professione di Insegnante di Hip Hop. I corsi di formazione sono a NUMERO CHIUSO. DATE: Il prossimo corso di formazione Insegnante Primo Livello si svolgerà nelle seguenti date: - 2 FEBBRAIO 2020 (dalle ore 10:30 alle 18) - 23 FEBBRAIO 2020 (dalle ore 10:30 alle 18) - 15 MARZO 2020 (dalle ore 10:30 alle 13:30; a seguire esami in sede). PROGRAMMA: Saranno trattati tutti gli argomenti del corso di formazione della danza Hip Hop che saranno visionabili anche nel testo di preparazione che verrà fornito ai corsisti il primo giorno del corso: - Acquisizione degli elementi base del New York style e dell’Old School (Popping, Locking,Breaking); - Studio della tecnica dei blocchi waves e isolazioni corporee; - Teoria musicale e lavoro pratico; - Come costruire una coreografia; -Laboratorio di anatomia, riscaldamento muscolare e stretching; - figura dell’insegnante di danza; - normative fiscali. DOVE: I corsi di formazione si svolgono presso l’A.S.C. DANZA in via Gregorio XI 211 a Roma. DANZA, comunicando il proprio nome cognome e recapito telefonico e la tipologia di corso scelto. Da quel momento, il corsista avrà cinque giorni di tempo per ufficializzare l'iscrizione, inviando il modulo di iscrizione cartaceo e la copia del pagamento della quota di iscrizione. ESAME FINALE: Al termine del percorso formativo sarà verificata l'abilità tecnica e didattica di ogni aspirante Insegnante attraverso un esame di fine corso che si svolgerà l'ultimo giorno del corso di formazione. COSTI E CERTIFICAZIONI: Le quote comprendono: - Materiali di studio; - Corso negli incontri prestabiliti; - Diploma ASC riconosciuto coni, previo superamento dell’esame finale, - Tesserino tecnico personale di Insegnante Hip Hop; - Quota associativa all'ente di promozione sportiva per la stagione in corso; - Iscrizione all'albo nazionale insegnanti danza sportiva ASC.
