Nato come pilot di una nuova serie Tv, ad opera del regista che aveva rivoluzionato la storia della televisione con I segreti di Twin Peaks (1990-1991), Mulholland Drive è diventato un capolavoro nella filmografia di David Lynch. Un viaggio nel mondo di Hollywood per mostrarne il lato più bello e poi quello più torbido. Due donne opposte, che sono due facce di un’unica medaglia. Una narrazione complessa ma affascinante. Fotografia, musiche e montaggio perfettamente calibrate per dare vita a un’opera indimenticabile. Un’interpretazione superlativa di Naomi Watts.
