The Musical Box: A Genesis Extravaganza 2020 (Usher Hall, Edinburgh)
In 2018, in an all-out performance of live visual signature stunts, a museum-worthy array of vintage instruments and a dizzying pace of hit tracks and stage rarities, The Musical Box indulged in, for the first time in its 25 year existence, an intense trip of their own imagining... into the world of early Genesis. In 2019 they return, with Part II of A Genesis Extravaganza. As the only band ever licensed and supported by Genesis and Peter Gabriel, The Musical Box presents a new, never performed show featuring the music of Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by The Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail and Wind & Wuthering. With a few added surprises thrown in for good measure, it's a performance that any Genesis fan will not want to miss! Acclaimed for its historical re-enactment of early Genesis, TMB has performed for more than a million spectators worldwide in some of the most prestigious venues such as The London Royal Albert Hall and The Paris Olympia. TMB had the privilege of hosting Phil Collins and Steve Hackett as performing guests. In its quest for authenticity, TMB is often cited as the best interpretation group in the world and the international reference for early Genesis. Contra Costa County recently moved into Tier 2, allowing for the return of indoor retail shopping under state guidelines. The artisans and women behind Holiday Gift Collective are thrilled at the opportunity to safely showcase their goods and boost their local economy just in time for the holidays. The idea for Holiday Gift Collective was born from the shared values of each of the participating artisans as well as from the #shoplocal movement which encourages people to invest in their communities with the goal of strengthening the economy. Holiday Gift Collective is a union in support of community and equality, and will offer home goods, jewelry, gourmet foods, and more. In addition to continuing to pave the path for aspiring female entrepreneurs, Holiday Gift Collective hopes to encourage the community to work together in the fight against climate change. Brands such as Planet Renu, SIP, and Hofssi Chocolates will be presenting a variety of eco-friendly and ethically sourced products. Joining the list of green businesses will be Hollie's Homegrown, a local organic herb farm on a mission to create the highest quality herbal food and body products. All together, they will provide Holiday Gift Collective customers with unique and special gift options that reduce our carbon-footprint.
