Course Description:
The IAITAM IT Asset Disposition (CITAD) certification Course prepares individuals to manage the IT asset disposal Process within an organization. Best Practices in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) are broken down from policy Management and data security to chain of custody transitioning. Attendees whose job responsibilities include ITAD will know how to avoid Risk of data loss and the public exposure that surrounds a breakdown in ITAD Process Management. ITAD Best Practices, financial return, data security global implications and the importance of vendor Management are just a few of the topics incorporated in the CITAD Course. With IAITAM’s ITAD Best Practices, ITAD will no longer be viewed as corporate overhead, but rather a profit center and area of Risk mitigation.

● Implement and build a decision Process for the selection of devices for disposal, coordinating with ITAM Processes such as a refresh and with the help desk Processes for services requiring replacement of devices.
● Maintain visibility into hardware inventory in storage and throughout the disposal Processes, building controls for physical and data security to reduce opportunities for theft of devices or the data on the devices from initial movement through final disposal.
● Use data collection, automation and tagging to document the disposal path taken for any specific device.
● Develop, implement and promote program elements such as Policies, Processes, procedures and measurements for hardware disposition.
● Ensure that all parties understand and adhere to legal Requirements for data security, health and safety, recycling and disposal, along with any other legislated Requirements impacting final disposition.
● Provide the correct data erasure and disposal techniques for the specific device and the one that generates the maximum value with acceptable Risk.
● Develop due diligence Processes to select vendors and as a source of contractual language so that contracts clearly lay out responsibilities for the vendor as well as the organization.
● Utilize appropriately trained resources or assures that vendors utilize the correct resources to conduct each aspect of the disposal Processes.
● Plan and participate in the Management of the hardware portfolio when disposal is involved so that the organization’s efficiency, performance and Goals are met or improved.
● Provide strategic direction and robust attention to the details surrounding the selection of ITAD vendors and maintain an ongoing Vendor Management program.
● Empower, train and support all assigned Asset Management personnel.
● Build and nurture productive relationships with all other business units, including those interacting with the IT business functions and customers.
● Encourage and maintain executive Management support through goal alignment, measurement and communication of results.
● Develop communication plans to increase employee awareness of environmental Goals and organizational sustainability programs.

Who can Attend?
This class is taught as a 2 day classroom Course or online with an interactive instructor in four 3 hour sessions.The CITAD Course is designed for those individuals with minimal to no experience in the field of Asset Management. It is essential Learning for those responsible for ITAD programs and other IT professionals involved in asset Management, resource budgeting, finance, software licensing, contract Management and strategic planning. Although there are no prerequisites, some knowledge of an organization’s lifecycle Management is encouraged.

Chicago Bears events: Tickets may be picked up at the Will Call Window outside of Gate 10, 2 hours before the event. Gate 10 is located on the southeast side of Soldier Field. Prerequisite: Minimum, Level 3 Massage Therapy Diploma or equivalent
Details: This practical 2 day course further develops the ethos learned on “Adapting Massage’, whilst focusing on all aspects of adapting to working with the chair. The weekend includes a ‘menu’ of muscle-based massage techniques ideally suited for use with frail or vulnerable patients and those in palliative and supportive care settings. This course takes a zero-strain approach and techniques learned will translate to any on-site environment where a rapid response to relaxation is required.
Previous attendance on Adapting Massage is recommended but not required; nor is previous chair experience or training.

Is it easy to park near the hospital?
There is often on-road parking on streets around the hospital at weekends as most parking restriction zones are Monday-Friday only. Please take care to read the parking restriction signs carefully. What do I need to bring to the event?
As well as bringing yourself and some notepaper for making notes we ask you to bring four pillow cases, one large towel or bath sheet and a light blanket.
Please do not bring any valuables with you. We cannot be responsible for loss or theft of any personal items whilst on hospital property.

Is Lunch included?
Lunch is not included but refreshments will be provided in the Rehab Unit throughout the day. The hospital has an on-site cafeteria serving hot & cold meal options as well as an M&S café, and a WHSmith where you can buy meal deals, drinks, sandwiches, and snacks. There are also plenty of vending machines all around the site where you can get soft drinks and a variety of snacks.
Please inform us of any nut or other food based allergies so that we can adjust the snacks if required.
What should I wear to the event?
Dress code is ‘relaxed’. Tunics or uniforms are not required. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in. For clothed work you may like to wear a long sleeved t-shirt and for oiled work we suggest a vest top.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Within the terms of our Cancellation and Refunds Policy we will be happy to transfer your booking to a different course. Should that course be of a higher price we will ask you to pay the difference.
What is the Cancellation and Refunds Policy?
Cancelled by us:
• Courses will be cancelled with a minimum of 14 days’ notice
• You may request a full refund or transfer of fees to another course
• Pre-booked travel and personal expenses cannot be reimbursed
Cancelled by you:
• Up to 14 days before the course you will be charged a £40 admin fee for cancellation and refund requests
• Up to 14 days before the course you may transfer your fees to another course of the same value free of charge
• No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice; fees may be transferred to a different course at our discretion.
• To transfer fees to another course of a higher value you will be charged the difference and a £10 admin fee

Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance for this course?
Each weekend course totals a minimum of 12 hours of study time. You will only receive your certificate of attendance on completion of the full 12 hours.
For courses that include 24 hours of study time you will receive your certificate of attendance on completion of the full allotted 24 hours.
Will I receive CPD points or credits for this course?
This will vary depending on the professional body or association(s) to which you belong. Some, for example the FHT or CNCH place the responsibility on each individual member to decide what their own personal professional development needs are; and place and hourly or point valued system based on the nature of each activity rather than the provider. Some, for example the AoR or CThA each have their own rationale for accepting CPD training hours only when done with their accredited providers. You will need to check the CPD policy of each of the organisations of which you are a member to know if this course will count towards your CPD.
